Top Navigation Bar 

This bar is located on the top of your screen that holds different functionalities for the user. Including menu, alerts, notifications and user. 
 

 

  • Name of the Protected Area - The name of the protected area appears in the center of the title bar. 
    • Map Quicklinks - This is a dropdown menu, that can be configured in the admin site, to save different locations in the map to access them easily. 

 

  • Connection Status -  Indicates the status of EarthRanger’s connections and that it is operating normally.  The Healthy status legend appears if Server, Network and Real time status are working. When clicked, you can see the different connections and their individual status.   
    • Realtime status – A green dot indicates that data is being exchanged with the EarthRanger server. An Activity message tells you how long it has been since the last data message was received. 
    • Network  – A green dot indicates that EarthRanger is communicating with the Network. 
    • Server - A green dot indicates that EarthRanger is communicating with the server connected to your site.

 

A red dot indicates that something is wrong. Notify your local administrator if the dot stays red for more than a short time. 

 


 

  • Messages - In EarthRanger you can communicate with your rangers and the operation rooms via internal messages that will appear here. 
  • EarthRanger Notifications - This is designed for Earth Ranger to communicate new features, system outages, developments with users of the platform.
  • User Settings
    • Cookie Setting - Here you can configure your Privacy settings regarding the cookies that are collected through EarthRanger. 
    • User Profiles - In the dropdown all of the available profiles on this site will appear so you can change between users from this section. 
    • Log Out - You will be logged out of this site of EarthRanger when clicking this.
