Description
This guide details how to set up an integration between Movebank and EarthRanger, via Gundi.
Scope
- Wildlife movement data (location and tag id).
- Accesory data, sensor data without GPS location.
Prerequisites
Movebank
Owner: Requester.
- Create a study in Movebank with the tracking devices you wish to share with EarthRanger.
- Unless the study is public, share that study with EarthRanger’s Movebank user
EarthRanger_Integrations. Important: Share as a 'Collaborator'. - Share the list of study IDs with Support.
EarthRanger
Owner: Requester
- EarthRanger site URL.
- Create an authentication token for Gundi.
Gundi
Owner: Support
- Access to Gundi v1.
- An organization and outbound configuration created for this connection.

Step 1: Configurations in Gundi v1
1.1 Add New Inbound Integration
Name: Include the study ID.
Owner: Select the organization created for this connection
Type: Movebank
Provider Key: Leave it empty
Default Device Group: Leave it empty
Endpoint: https://www.movebank.org/movebank/service/direct-read
Token: Leave it empty
Login: EarthRanger_Integrations
Password: See 1Password
State:
