When your EarthRanger site upgrades to EarthRanger Identity, you'll receive an email with a link to finish setting up your secure sign-in. This takes a few minutes and only needs to be done once.

After you finish, you sign in to EarthRanger with your email address and a password you control.

Before you start

You'll need:

• An upgrade email from EarthRanger (check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it)
• Access to the email inbox associated with your current EarthRanger account’s email address 

Step 1: Open the upgrade email and click the link 

Open the upgrade email and click the link. It will open a sign-in screen in your browser.

Step 2: Create your secure sign-in

Before proceeding, you will need to know whether you already have an EarthRanger Identity account.

• First time setting up a secure sign-in: click the “Create your secure sign-in” link. 
  
  
• Already have a secure sign-in from another site: enter your email address and sign in with the password you already use.
  

Done: You’re signed in

Your existing EarthRanger account is now linked to your new sign-in. Your access, history, and settings stays intact.

From now on, sign in to EarthRanger by entering your email address on the sign-in screen.

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the upgrade email.
Check your spam or junk folder for the upgrade email. If you still can't find it, contact your site administrator or reach out to support@earthranger.com.

My upgrade link has expired. 
Upgrade links expire after 24 hours. Contact support@earthranger.com to request a new one.

I'm not sure which email address to use.
You can use any email address you have access to. It doesn't need to match the email address your site currently has on file for you. Use whichever address you want to sign in with going forward.

I forgot my EarthRanger Identity password. 
You can reset your password with your email address once you have set up your account.
