Here's what's new in the latest update to the EarthRanger mobile app. This release includes new event form field types, expanded conditional logic for v2 event forms, performance improvements to patrol details, and several bug fixes.
🌟New Features

Boolean Field Support in Event Forms
Event forms built with the Event Form Editor now support boolean (Yes/No) fields. These fields display as a toggle switch, allowing users to quickly record a true or false response while completing a report in the field.
Note: Boolean fields must be configured in the EarthRanger Admin event form editor before they appear in the app. -
Multi-Choice List Conditional Fields
Event forms now support expanded conditional logic for multi-choice list fields. Form fields can be set to appear or stay hidden based on the values selected in a multi-choice list, making forms more dynamic and precise to complete in the field.
Note: Conditional fields must be configured in the EarthRanger Admin event form editor. For setup details, see Using Conditional Logic in Event Form Editor Sections for more information.
🚀Improvements
- Optimized the Patrol Details view to reduce unnecessary re-rendering, resulting in a more responsive experience when opening, starting, or ending a patrol.
🛠️Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where users configured with No Login access were left on a blank screen with no feedback when login failed. The app now displays a clear message and returns to the login screen.
- Fixed an issue where the patrol start icon remained active after a patrol was closed. The icon now resets correctly when a patrol ends.
