Part of the Sentinel integration.
Sentinel sends detections to EarthRanger through Gundi. For these detections to appear as reports in EarthRanger, your site must have an event type whose Value matches the identifier the integration uses. This article shows you exactly how to set it up.

Create this event type before connecting Sentinel. Until it exists, EarthRanger turns the events away with “You do not have permission to perform this action.”, and the Route Activity Logs show that message.
Make sure the token used for the integration has permissions to the Event Category hosting this event type (e.g., Monitoring). Without it, Sentinel events will not be created in EarthRanger.
How to configure the event type
- In your EarthRanger site, create a new event type.
- Give it a Display Name of your choice.
- Set the Value to
sentinel_event. - Assign a Category, Geometry Type, and Default Priority.
- Click Save.
