Sentinel sends detections to EarthRanger through Gundi. For these detections to appear as reports in EarthRanger, your site must have an event type whose Value matches the identifier the integration uses. This article shows you exactly how to set it up.
Required event type
⚠️ Important: Make sure the token used for the integration has permissions to the Event Category hosting this event type (e.g., Monitoring). Without it, Sentinel events will not be created in EarthRanger.
How to configure the event type
- In your EarthRanger site, create a new event type.
- Give it a Display Name of your choice.
- Set the Value to
sentinel_event. - Assign a Category, Geometry Type, and Default Priority.
- Click Save.
You don't need to fill in anything on the Event Form tab — the integration will generate the form for you.
