Prerequisites

Data Source

You will need:

  • Vital Weather authentication key.

Date Delivery

EarthRanger

  • A special EarthRanger user with permissions to post event data. 
    • Please refer to EarthRanger's documentation or contact Support.
  • A long-lived token for the special user.
    • Please refer to EarthRanger's documentation or contact Support.
  • Confirm that the required event type (weather_station_summary) and schema are configured in EarthRanger. Consult our references here.
 
 

Scope

  • Weather Daily Summary as an event.
  • Weather conditions (stationary subject).
     

Configuration in Gundi

  1. Click on Create Connection.
  2. Select Vital Weather.
  3. Configure your Vital Weather key.
  4. Configure the amount of lookback days of data to fetch during the first data pull.
  5. Select your Organization.
  6. Enter a name for this Connection (e.g., “Vital Weather - AccountName”).
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select a Destination. Please consult our guides.
     

Next Steps

EarthRanger

The following configurations are optional:

1. Select the data you want to see in the map.

1.1. Log in to EarthRanger as an admin.
1.2. Go to Source providers.
1.3. Click on Subject Details Configuration.
1.4. Configure the additional information you would like to see on the map.

2. Rename your Subjects.

3. Assign your Subjects to a Subject Group.
